Principle #1: Zero Bank Account Scraping
Many commercial finance applications require users to connect their bank accounts by entering netbanking usernames and passwords, or granting third-party apps permission to read all incoming SMS messages. This exposes users to serious credential vulnerabilities, third-party data broker leaks, and privacy risks.
SFFM fundamentally rejects this model. We never ask for, transmit, or store bank account login details, debit/credit card CVVs, or SMS read permissions. All financial records are entered by you and your family voluntarily, ensuring zero risk of unauthorized bank transfers.
Bcrypt & JWT Authentication
User passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing via Supabase Auth. Sessions utilize cryptographically signed JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with strict expiration limits.
PostgreSQL Row Level Security
Data is partitioned in Supabase PostgreSQL using kernel-level Row Level Security (RLS). Every SQL query is automatically constrained so users can only ever access records belonging to their own family ID.
Cloudflare Edge Protection
All traffic is protected by Cloudflare's global edge network featuring automated DDoS mitigation, TLS 1.3 HTTPS enforcement, HSTS, and Content-Security headers.
Zero Data Selling Guarantee
Your family's financial transactions belong strictly to your family. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or broker household records to banks, credit card issuers, loan agencies, or marketing companies.
You maintain the right to export your entire financial history or permanently delete your household account at any time through the Profile Settings tab.
